  1. You can view PDF files on Adobe Reader but you can't edit them on it. Examples of graphics programmes are Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Fireworks.
  2. Adobe reader is what you use for reading adobe files. I make many designs for my website logos etc, and the way I make them is this. Draw out said design by hand (the exact size you need it). Scan it into a photo programme. Colour or make any changes you desire in the photo programme. Export it as a jpg or in this case a PDF file (it depends on what your programme supports). Make sure you print out and view your file, check colours, sharpness etc and make sure you're happy with it. If you are, then send it on to your label maker. By the way, I also used to work in the graphics/print and design industry. It's up to the business to accomodate your needs, not vice versa. If you're having problems with these people accepting your design in the format you provide, I'd really look elsewhere if I were you.
  3. answerer no2 says it all for you okay, try it.
  4. Create your label in whatever program you know best, you can do it quite easily in Word within a text box, or Publisher perhaps. Then go on line to Adobe site and they will convert it to pdf free of charge. You can have five done free without having to buy Adobe creator.
