- Check the source link for your answer.
- I'll try my best to explain them, although it would be easier if I could draw them here first - Here goes: First of all, if ANY of the symbols has a line or an X drawn through it, that means NO Triangle - usually means bleach - so if there is a line drawn through it, then that means NO bleach Circle - generally refers to drycleaning - if there is a circle, then it is ok to dryclean - but again, if there is a line drawn through the circle, then NO Square - refers to drying - if there is a circle inside the square, then that means good to go in the dryer. If there is a small line near the top (kind of like a loop) then that means Hand To Dry (as in a clothes line). U / Pail Shaped Symbol - generally is for the temperature of the water *see below for colour definitions Iron - means iron the garment * check the colour of the iron *see below Regarding the colours of the symbols: Yellow = Warm Red = Hot or Do Not So ,for example: A Yellow Iron = means you can iron the garment with a Warm iron. A Red Square with a Circle inside AND an X drawn on top = means DO NOT put in a HOT dryer A Yellow U/Pail = Warm water should be used to wash the garment. I hope this helps a bit, just remember - red means NO also an X means NO All the above is my point of view, but I will also add a link for you to go to in order to print out a much more detailed description.
