Clothes for teenager going camping?

hi there iam a teenage girl and our youth group is going camping for the week in a cold climate, and i dont have a clue what to wear, as it will be frezzing cold 24/7 all the time, and as a teenage girl i cant seem to keep warm, even in the warmest of temperatures, i would imagine i will need tonnes of layers but i dont really know exactly what clothing and how many of each clothing to wear each day, i dont have money to buy expensive outdoor clothing,so the clothes will have to be my own, and i also have pajamas that i will take, but they are shorts and t shirt, and i dont know if they will keep me warm, but i have to wear them, as i love them i also have yahoo messenger, feel free to help me through that aswell thanks

  1. Buy long johns and tights or leggings. You can wear them under anything. Also buy really thick socks. Keeping your feet warm keeps you warm.
  2. Jeans sweatshirts long johns Long socks long sleeve shirts Hoddies sweat pants coat hat gloves scarf boots tena shoes T-shirts
  3. Cotton T-shirts are good for layering, as are fleeces and long-sleeved cotton shirts, and most people have at least a few of each. Natural fibres are better for heat retention than man-made because they allow heat to become trapped between the layers without making you sweat too much, and allow any moisture to evaporate more effectively. Sweat/jog pants will be better than denim jeans for similar reasons, and also because the seams of jeans, if they get wet, will retain the moisture and you risk getting sore/chafed in that case. A water and windproof coat would be good too for obvious reasons, also a woolly or fleece hat and gloves, woollen or cotton socks, and sturdy, waterproof walking boots. I always wear a scarf snuggled round my neck, ears and chin in cold weather, it really holds the heat inside your coat! So, a T-shirt, then long-sleeved shirt, then a fleece, and lastly your coat, with one or two pairs of long socks under your sweatpants, coat, scarf, hat and boots ought to keep you warm and dry. A small backpack with spare extra socks and fleece might be useful, and also useful in case you are too warm and need to remove a layer, for example if the sun is out and you are sheltered from the wind. As for night clothes, you will be glad of a pair of fluffy pyjamas so beg, borrow or buy a pair, save the shorty set for when you get home! If you find you don't have enough of these types of clothes you may have a friend or family member who could lend you some, or you might try local charity or second-hand shops for a bargain. Have a fantastic camping trip, have lots of fun, and good luck!
