Clothes for teenager going camping in spring?
hi there iam a teenage girl and our youth group is going camping for the week in a cold climate, and i dont have a clue what to wear, as it will be pretty cold 24/7 all the time, and as a teenage girl i cant seem to keep warm, even in the warmest of temperatures, i would imagine i will need a lot of layers but i dont really know exactly what clothing and how many of each clothing to wear each day, i dont have money to buy expensive outdoor clothing,so the clothes will have to be my own. i also have pajamas that i will take, but they are shorts and t shirt, and i dont know if they will keep me warm, but i have to wear them, as i love them i also have yahoo messenger, feel free to help me through that aswell thanks

- You will need to layer up alot .... do you have a fleece jacket and a down jacket? If you do, wear the fleece over a long sleeved shirt and then put the down jacket over. Be sure to bring a hat and scarf and gloves. For the bottom- do you have long underwear or leggings? Wear those under your jeans if it's super cold. I would not wear shorts at night- you'll be freezing. If you keep you head and neck covered and wear a fleece, you'll be toasty warm. If you don't have one, try and borrow. At night, wear the hat and scarf....... you will be soooo happy you brought them!
- well you will definetly need to take a good, warm jacket.if youre worried it wont keep you warm, wear a jumper or hoodie or something underneath it..underneath THAT,you can wear a couple of short sleeved shirts,or a long sleeved shirt or sweater-youll definetly be warm enough!you could try wearing vests underneath all of your clothing to keep you extra extra warm.take at least 2 pairs of jeans with you-one pair that is able to get dirty, one pair that you wear around camp. a tracksuit,or some other well insulated clothing will be very helpful.as for the pyjamas,if you really wanna wear them, just make sure you wear socks in bed,a couple of pairs,or a pair of knitted,if it is really cold, and make sure u have enough blankets.take a hat, gloves and a scarf as these will help keep you warm of course. hope i helped x
- Hi I'm a single mum so i know how hard it is, I would pack loads of long tops and fleeces and a winter coat. also put two pair of socks to keep feet warm, also use a hat as wearing a het with keep the heat in. Take care Nicki
- Yeah just make sure you wear lots of layers, make sure its breathable fabrics cos you dont wanna get sweaty. Lots of thin layers underneath and then a nice cosy jacket will get you sorted, and wear like 3pairs of socks, i find if my feet is warm the rest of me is warm lol, and remember gloves! And for the PJ thing i would advise like knee high socks to keep ur legs warm, it shouldn't be too bad as long as there is plently people in the tent and yous can share body heat :)
- Shorts and a t-shirt isn't going to keep you warm, even at night in a bed, at a camp where they don't have the best quality bedding, and that's why you're freezing. You posted this question before...you need a good dose of common sense, girl! Bring fleece hoodies, they can be from Target or Walmart if you don't have any, but they are a pretty normal everyday thing. Bring a down jacket. Sweat pants and thermal long sleeved shirts. Make sure to bring slippers to wear around the house. Bring boots for hiking outside and sneakers. Fuzzy socks are something you should definetly bring. If you have a wind blazer that's good. Bring a nice warm, big hat that you can ties around you. And a scarf, which is great in the wind. Make sure you wear gloves that you can still do things in but they keep your hands warm and dry! Have fun.
