What do I need to start a clothing label?

I got the moeny for a place to rent in a strip mall, but I dont have an idea on how I can get my ideas on shirts/ jeans and what not? I idealy want to open up a store and sell clothes/shoes things of that nature, like a Down Town Locker Room/Up Agasint the Wall, only I dont want to buy into franchise, I want to open up my OWN line of clothes.

1. well buddy, if you have the money, then you need to get the connaction, like a very good suppler, for cheap rates, most of the clothes they come from india, china all the cheap places, i hope you did your hope work. ,but it is a good business, don;t buy a frachais
2. Buddy in this sceneraio the best way out is to hire a consultant or alternatively a manager who is expereinced. The manager will be expensive to start but will be worth it. Give him space and let him prove himself. Make sure to b present for all the meetings he does so as to get first hand experience as what happens and what not. Make sure to have a very chic name of you line as it is the name which makes the first impression. All keep in mind the packing coz if the packing is right a person can even sell garbage.
