Clothes for teenager going camping?
hi there iam a teenage girl and our youth group is going camping for the week in a cold climate, and i dont have a clue what to wear, as it will be frezzing cold 24/7 all the time, and as a teenage girl i cant seem to keep warm, even in the warmest of temperatures, i would imagine i will need tonnes of layers but i dont really know exactly what clothing and how many of each clothing to wear each day, i dont have money to buy expensive outdoor clothing,so the clothes will have to be my own, and i also have pajamas that i will take, but they are shorts and t shirt, and i dont know if they will keep me warm, but i have to wear them, as i love them i also have yahoo messenger, feel free to help me through that aswell thanks

- Sweatpants, underarmor, heavy coats.. once you're cold and camping, all you've got is fire and blankets, bring lots and lots of layers! Hand warmers are nice too and they're cheap (and if you have a pair of shoes big enough, stuff some into the toes!) I camp a lot, have fun! :) Oh and long johns are good too, steal some from your dad, the bigger the better!
- walmart, ross, llbean,
- Ok you need a good bag to sleep in if were you are going is cold.....if you are extremely cold natured and you get cold easily you need to protect your body heat. So if you bag doesnt have a hood you need to wear a knit cap and a hoodie or either or because the majority of your heat is lost through your head at night. Now are you camping or "camping". "Camping" is that you will be in a cabin in the woods with most modern aclimates and Camping is tent (Sometimes) bag and fire. Either way layer up sweats make a great top layer for anything thay you are going to be wearing underneath if you dont have any appropriate camping clothes. Good Luck Have fun....email me if you have any other questions
- When we camp we always take our anoraks. Not much good on their own but if you slip them over the top of your coat if you are still cold they make a world of difference. I wouldn't take jeans as once they get wet they will take days to dry.Chose tracksuit bottoms or similar. As for the pyjamas, you will probably be too cold to change into them at night and end up sleeping in your clothes. You will discover that camping is no time for being fashion conscious. Have fun. (but rather you than me!)
- anything cool or hippie will do
