Why, in the UK do womens shoes only retail up to a size 7, 8 or rarely a 9?

Here in the UK I see so many pairs of womens shoes I wish I could have but find they only retail up to a max of a size 7 or 8 for mainstream fashion and in a select few stores up to a size 9 or 10. FYI I am a guy in touch with his feminine side and have a total adoration for hosiery and ladies shoes, in particular heels. There are lots of girls out there with feet size 9 and over, I am a size 9 and find it soooo frustrating that I always seem to be a size out. Surely the shoe industry must realise that not just women with feet up to a size 7 enjoy fashionable and sexy shoes in feminine styles. AND the range of colours too... sigh I better stop before I get carried away. Oh, and for anyone who says this... I know there are loads of online retailers specialising in larger ladies shoes (I have a rather large collection of boots and heels!) but I really dont always want fetishistic stilettos. Just a sensible pair of 3 or 4 inch courts in a modern, fashionable style would suffice. Oh, just to point out that Next in the UK are now doing nearly all their ladies shoes and boots up to a size 9... YAY!!! Have ordered myself 5 pairs online... can't wait!

  1. do you have big feet then?
  2. If you are in the UK, try Evans, they do shoes and boots, so called 'normal' everyday stuff, courts and other styles etc for workplace, dressy stuff and smart, not fetsih etc, and a shop called Long Tall Sally, they have stuff online too
  3. you are a bloke i knew it ?. buy ur shoes from france lady,u r a petit 6l there. now dont u feel better ps;does big feet in a lady mean big bucket?...just wonderin i got big size 9s too
  4. I hear what you say but being realistic there probably isnt a huge market out there for size 9+ in female shoes.
  5. High street chain Barratts usually has a selection of ladies shoes up to size 11
  6. Because the majority of women in the UK do not want to admit to having size 7, 8 or 9 feet and would rather cram their enormous appendages into smaller shoes. Therefore, the shoe industry doesn't realise that there are women out here who would love a fashionable boot/shoe in sizes larger than fairy feet. We would rather be uncomfortable, and for other women to admire our footwear, than wear the correct size which, perversely, we cannot find because we won't admit to needing sizes 7, 8 or 9.
  7. sample size used to be a 4. My wife is a three--three and a half. I would consider a size 7 as large (I were an 8) @5'11" tall A 9 on a woman would be a cruise liner
  8. You should be able to get a variety of shoes in size 9 on the various ebay shops. It would be difficult to find 9s in the shop as there are not many women with feet that big. I'm size 8 and have constant trouble trying to find shoes - lots of styles stop at 7 or shops only stock a limited no. of 8s. I buy quite a lot from the ebay shops and have noticed that they do larger sizes to cater for men who like women's styles. Try this link: http://clothes.stores.ebay.co.uk/Womens-Shoes_W0QQcatZ3034QQtZlw - Sky High Shoes do sizes up to 14. I have bought shoes from them and find them very good to deal with. Hope this helps.
  9. Very Rare!!
