Clothes for teenager going camping?

Clothes for teenager going camping? hi there iam a teenage girl and our youth group is going camping for the week in northern canada, and i dont have a clue what to wear, as it will be frezzing cold 24/7 all the time, and as a teenage girl i cant seem to keep warm, even in the warmest of temperatures, i would imagine i will need tonnes of layers but i dont really know exactly what clothing and how many of each clothing to wear each day, i dont have money to buy expensive outdoor clothing,so the clothes will have to be my own, and i also have pajamas that i will take, but they are shorts and t shirt, and i dont know if they will keep me warm, but i have to wear them, as i love them i also have yahoo messenger, feel free to help me through that aswell thanks

  1. Try undershirts, sweaters, sneakers(of course),sweat pants, and jeans, and also a heavy coat. oh and for pj's you should wear a sweat shirt and sweat pants or pj pants to keep you warm and if you don't like sleeping in shoes then you should try slippers.=] have fun!
  2. thermals underneath your clothes. theyre cheap.

  4. wear your pajamas underneath maybe sweatpants and a hoodie sweatshirt. you can wear gloves, and a scarf. maybe an earband or earmuffs. you can still look good, when trying to keep yourself warm! have fun camping.
  5. Trust me on this, don't worry about fashion, just worry about being warm and comfortable, take boots, sweats, jackets, lots of socks (wet feet suck).
  6. You wud defo need thermal vests and the like, even if you have very little money I would invest in that, when I go camping I never buy new clothes, I have combats and kinda rugby trousers I wear which are very layered but you dont over sweat. Various tshirts and hoobies and WARM coats!! As in big heavy winter coats with a hood and gloves and scarfs oh and a thick wooly hat! Hat is very important! Dont forget tonnes of warm socks! At night I have thick wooly pj's and wear my hoody and if I get cold my hat. Dont bring loads, but make sure what u bring is warm! Better being too hot than cold.
  7. I would say to wear a t shirt, sweater and coat each day. just 3 layers, i would think that would keep you warm for the trip. maybe wear sweats under your jeans. i know it doesnt look very good but ull be warm! like i said, tshirts, sweaters, and coats, make sure to bring these three. and i hope u have a sleeping bag or a tone of blankets because if it is that cold during the day then at night it will be even colder and ur planing on wear shorts lol ull freeze. well i hope i helped have fun in Canada
  8. I agree with Justin. I love camping because that's the only place i don't HAVE to worry about dressing up. It's all about having fun. Just keep warm
  9. Okay kiddo, even if you can't afford to buy new clothes, whatever you do, find a way to invest in a couple of sets of thermal underwear (tops and bottoms) Your best bet is to look in the men's department. They have them in the women's dept. but they are often much more expensive and not as warm. Wear them under EVERTHING....even your PJ's. Also, buy yourself some heavy socks, like tube socks, or wool socks, if wool doesn't irritate your skin. If need be, borrow some flannel PJ's from someone....you will freeze your fanny off in shorts and a t-shirt....my family is from Maine....I know....even in the summer the nights in that part of the country can get VERY cold! Also, borrow some sweat shirts and flannel shirts. Wear the thermal underwear and a turtle neck under the sweat shirts and the turtlenecks. Make sure you take gloves or mittens (if you take gloves make sure the are knitted yarn...not leather...leather won't keep your hands warm unless it is lined with some sort of fleece or faux fur.) Take a couple of knit caps ( 90% of your body heat escapes through the top of your head) and if you can find some...earmuffs! I don't know what part of the country you live in so some of these items may be difficult to find if you live some place like Florida. Even in cooler climates, all the winter stuff is pretty much off the shelves now and the spring stuff is out so this will take some real scavaging and scrounging on your part. Borrow as much as you can....but whatever you do, do everything you can to keep warm! Have a ball! It's beautiful up there!
