Clothes for teenager going camping?
Clothes for teenager going camping? hi there iam a teenage girl and our youth group is going camping for the week in a cold climate, and i dont have a clue what to wear, as it will be frezzing cold 24/7 all the time, and as a teenage girl i cant seem to keep warm, even in the warmest of temperatures, i would imagine i will need tonnes of layers but i dont really know exactly what clothing and how many of each clothing to wear each day, i dont have money to buy expensive outdoor clothing,so the clothes will have to be my own, and i also have pajamas that i will take, but they are shorts and t shirt, and i dont know if they will keep me warm, but i have to wear them, as i love them i also have yahoo messenger, feel free to help me through that aswell thanks

- go 2 aeropostale!!!!!!!!! they hav awesome clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Try wearing sweat pants and/or a sweat shirt. U could wear a few layers under that. Wear boots, bring a hat.....um...if u hav ugg boots, BRING those! Those will definatly keep u warm!
- what i always do when i go skiing is ill wear tight PJ bottoms under neath my pants the ill wear my softball socks cause the practically come up to my knees then i usually wear like sweat pants over my jeans then ill wear a tank top and then a long sleeve shirt with a sweat shirt and then a jacket that usually keeps me warm. and for PJ's if you have any sweat pants or something just weara sweat shirt
- you might wanna get a coat.
- just layer as much as possible with what you have, also take hat, gloves and scarf, you will probably wear a lot of layers to bed too
- i just went to a retreat in feburary! there was even snow! if you know that your cabin will have a heater or you have a really really good sleeping bag, then your pj's are fine. i wore, jean all the time but sometimes i had like thermo stuff underneath. boots are a must, especially if you know it's gonna snow or rain. otherwise, get really good sneakers with no holes!!! (don't bring your converses) wear layers of tees and shirts with really good jackets or vests: http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=outerwear&product%5Fid=2049964677&Page=all http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=outerwear&product%5Fid=2039867460&Page=all http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=outerwear&product%5Fid=2045555973&Page=all don't forget scarves and gloves!!!! hope i helped! =]
- you will need lots of layers like t shirt jumper sweat shirt jacket gloves hats socks and jog trousers if you have tights there good for cold at night where your PJ's under some jog pants and a hoody keep your head warm and socks take extra blankets to lay on and wrap up in in your sleeping bag, i know how cold girls get in the uk camping in the summer a hot water bottle may help to
- be sure to bring thick socks and boots - uggs r the best but knockoffs r good 2!! bring sweatpants, sweatshirts, and coats- they can be good quality but inexpensive be sure to have a hat, gloves/mittens, and a scarf also have a thick sleeping bag latex gloves under normal ones keep hands warm dress in lots of layers and wear long-sleeved shirts more than t-shirts go to cheaper stores like old navy and bob's instead of abercrombie and aeropostale for good quality and a lower price
- Get a couple of sets of thermal underwear, and make sure they aren't too large - they need to fit against your skin, but not stretch out. They aren't a fashion statement, but if you put them under sweat pants & shirt you'll be ready for hiking, and you can take off the sweatshirt & tie it around your waist if you get hot while walking. For just sitting around, put a layer of nylon pants & windbreaker over them - that will keep out the wind and keep in the warm air. Wear thin socks under thick wooly ones to stay warmer, and use mittens rather than gloves. A stocking hat that will pull over your ears, or with ear muffs, will complete your ensemble. You'll want waterproof boots, either lined or ones that go over your shoes. Your shoes shouldn't be too tight or you'll lose the ability to build up a warm layer of air in your socks to keep your feet warm. If you have a good sleeping bag, your pajamas will be fine. It gets hot in a sleeping bag, and sweating is the last thing you want to do in a cold climate. Just before you are going to get up, grab your clothes and put them in the sleeping bag with you to warm them up, then put them on in there & get out immediately and open the bag to air out - a damp bag the 2nd nite is murder!!! Have fun! Take a camera! It may be cold, but camping is a lot of fun.
- I've been camping a lot. your everyday clothes will be fine.this is what you should pack. you should already be dressed for day 1 if I was going to a pay and stay camp site for a week 3 pairs of pants, 3 T-shirts, 2 long sleeve shirt 4 pairs of underwear, 4 pairs of socks,1 sweater, 1 jacket, or coat, and gloves&hat. if I was going backpacking without a campsite and you have to carry all your stuff in 1 backpack 2 pairs of pants, 2 T-shirts, 1 long sleeve shirt, 4 pairs of underwear,3 pairs of socks 1 wool sweater, 1 jacket or coat, and gloves&hat. i would forget about the pajamas unless you are sleeping inside. be sure to buy a cheap flash light and bring some headphones and music it will make it easier to sleep. what you should wear bottom half: two pairs of pants at once, 2 socks on each foot, shoes or boots what to wear top half: T-shirt,long sleeve shirt, T-shirt, sweater, if its really cold wear your jacket. this is not set in stone you want to be comfortable but not so hot you'll sweat walking at a normal speed. don't forget gloves & hat your jacket should be water proof if possible and/or sweater should have a hood and pockets just in case your hat & gloves aren't enough good luck and have lots of fun <edit note> I was thinking sleeping outside in tents, if your in a cabin then dress just like you do at home with extra socks and a sweater I think you'll figure out what works best for you the first night.
