How do i know what size shoes to buy in womens size?

I wear a size 9 in mens shoes. 1. Go at least two sizes up, so at least an 11 in womens - the problem may be the width.
2. Are you a woman or a man? Okay I have chuck taylors and it says in men i am 5.5 and in women i am 7.5. So plus 2 sizes. So if you're 9 in men then you are 11 in women.
3. you have to go up about 2 sizes, and see if they come in a wider width because women's feet are usually narrower
4. go to the store and try some on. But generally a mans foot is larger than a woman ( I'm assuming your a man?) so you would need a size 11 or twelve, and depending on if you foot is wide or slim/average in width, BTW, cute shoes.
5. Your big man feet will look hideous in these shoes. Plus you'd be like a woman's size 11 (at least) and the link says that sizes only go up to 10ish. I can just picture your hairy feet sticking out of those sandals...*shudders*
6. cute shoes! the rule of thumb for that is a 2 size difference. however, if you want to know width and be more accurate, go to a shoe store and use the women's foot measure @ answer above mine if someone is going to pay over $200 for a pair of shoes, don't you think they might shave any hair off their feet?
